About us

When Venetian Moon opened in October 2001, it was a small, 10-table Italian restaurant on the corner of Main Street in downtown Reading. Beer and wine were the only drinks on the menu, but the vision was already there: serve memorable food, take care of every guest, and never stop finding creative ways to evolve.

25 years later, Venetian Moon has become a Boston North Shore destination—built on two ingredients that have remained constant from the beginning: consistency and creativity.

Today, the 250-seat restaurant features two full bars and four distinct dining areas, each with its own personality and charm. Reflective details, natural textures, and romantic lighting tie the spaces together, creating an atmosphere that feels both vibrant and welcoming.

Venetian Moon is also home to New England’s first Build Your Own Espresso Martini menu. With more than 700 possible combinations, every visit can bring something new. And if espresso isn’t your thing, the menu includes more than 40 handcrafted martinis for nearly every taste and occasion.

Of course, it all began with the food.

Signature recipes have kept loyal guests coming back for more than two decades. From Italian-American classics like Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo to Venetian Moon originals like Chicken Carmine and Tri-Colored Tortellini al Forno, every dish reflects the tradition and creativity at the heart of the restaurant.

A lot has changed since Venetian Moon opened its doors in 2001—but its commitment to great food, creative cocktails, and genuine hospitality never has.

Come hungry, stay for a martini, and we’ll take care of the rest.
